KEGS Geologist struck oil in the Peak District during their first residential field trip. The students also marvelled at the glorious scenery produced by the Carbonfierous reef knolls along the Manifold Valley, the spendour of the Mam Tor lndslide and the faulting and mineralisation of Ecton Copper Mine. Students can access photos of the field visit from the school network.
This blog is aimed at supporting those hardy souls who are studying for A Level Geology at KEGS in Chelmsford or for anyone else interested in Geology who may be passing through.
